Golf de
Montpellier Massane - Situated in a sunny area close to the
Mediterranean beaches and the wild Camargue country, the Montpellier

de Montpellier Fontcaude - You have a choice of two courses: the
18-hole International course (par 72, 6292 metres) which is very varied,
laid out in the scented scrubland and on the wooded banks of a river and
the 9-hole ‘Executive’ course (par 29, 1290 metres), a compact course
which will suit players at all levels.
Due to its situation in the
Mediterranean, Montpellier offers one of the best and sunniest climates
of the whole of France - there are more than 300 days of sunshine per
year! Montpellier and its region are attractive year round.
Spring is a very pleasant time of the year with lots of sunshine and
flowers blossom everywhere. You can have lunch outside on one of the
many terraces of the city or on the beaches nearby. People already
sunbath and some people swim already early spring in the Mediterranean
Sea.
Summer is very warm, but there is often a soft breeze which makes the
stay pleasant (and the surfers happy). There are many festivals outdoors
and even at night you sit outside in one of the numerous cafés - just in
shorts and shirt. The Sea is very warm and everybody enjoys time on the
beach.
Autumn is the continuation of summer, which lasts until October. The
sea is still very warm and you can swim until the end of October.
Evenings are still very mild and you can have dinner outdoors in one of
the many restaurants with its terraces. This is also time of the wine
harvest in the region which go along with many festivals in the
neighbouring villages.
Winter offers a very mild climate. On sunny days you can have your
lunch outside on one of the terraces or just enjoy a coffee on Place de
la Comédie. The very rare colder days go along with a deep blue sky and
a fantastic light. If you like skiing - the Cevennes mountains and
Pyrenees are close by and have ski resorts.
Seeing that Montpellier is located very close to the Gulf of Lion,
water sports are popular with visitors. There are numerous swimming
areas located minutes outside of the city center, and certain beaches
offer water sports such as jet skiing, kayaking, parasailing, and more.
Montpellier possesses one of France’s top haute-cuisine restaurants, the
Michelin-starred Le Jardin des Sens (11 avenue St-Lazare, 04 99 58 38
04 99 58 38 38).
Bar du Musee - This bar lies just behind the Musee Fabre on the
